We've arrived in California safe and sound! Here are a few more photos from the salt flats, the mom of the 16 year old photographer and one of dad at a stop we made as he's taking in some sunshine. The big decision of the day was to stay the night in Reno/Lake Tahoe area or continue on to California. I looked at the weather forecast for Donner Pass and it was clear today with a high chance of snow tomorrow, so we kept on going. However, it's been years since I've been to Reno, and it's changed so much and grown so big! There used to be bare land between Sparks and Reno, but no more. They run together like so many areas in other parts of the US.
Tonight, we're in Rocklin, CA, east of Sacramento about 15-20 miles. I went out and picked up Chinese take-out for dinner so dad could relax. We'll go to Easter Mass at 9:00 am at St. Peter and Paul practically across the street from where we're staying.
