Today, day one of our journey had an interesting start before we even got in the car.  Dad fell on his bum in his bedroom
...he's okay, but it was a scary few moments for both of us! After loading what seemed like 100 bags in the car, we were on the road at 11:00am!  First stop was Laramie, WY for a light lunch and to stretch our legs and then drove through the "lovely" sagebrush plains of Wyoming, all against a fierce headwind. We stopped in Sinclair, WY for gas. Yep, the same Sinclair that you see as the name of gas stations throughout the US.  This is where their refinery is.  As you'll see from the photo, the mini mart sells the Sinclair dinosaurs...and they are everywhere! When dad got out of the car, he almost blew over from the gust of wind that moment. One of the rubber caps from the leg of his walker came off and I'm sure it's still airborne somewhere in Nebraska by now. So we'll be on the hunt for another tomorrow along with a car shop that can repair the dime size chip in my windshield from a flying rock...of course it's directly in my line of vision. We had a quick dinner at Marty's diner with the locals before heading to our room. Dad showered and is now sleeping soundly. All in all, for a cool, windy day in the car, all is well!  Hoping for 300-400 miles tomorrow.
