Saturday 5/12

Kickback day...meaning we didn't go anywhere. The weather was great so we had some patio time and Jeanne and I decided to clean up the gas BBQ grill that hasn't been used in about 5 years. Oh my! It turned out to be a comedy of errors with an outdoor shop-vac bag filling up, then exploding all over! Kind of funny now, but we had one helluva mess. But dad helped us to put the grill back together after disassembly to clean, and he figured out that all it took for the push button igniter is a new battery.  Hours and showers later, we had delicious grilled barbecued baby back ribs and corn on the cob from the grill with a margarita for our cocktail of choice. 

We may need to return to Julian next week as we finished off the apple pie as well.  No big plans as yet for the weekend, but I'm sure we'll find something fun to do. I'm having coffee in the morning with a friend from Pala and I'm looking very forward to seeing her!
