Dad and Snicker play a game every night. You see, Snicker is a very protective lil' cocker spaniel and she will protect the one she chooses to at that moment. She's also a thief and will steal hankies, shirts, napkins, jeans and pj's. But her favorite bootie is socks. So each night, she waits for dad to remove his socks...one at a time just far enough off his foot so she can pull it the rest of the way. Then she'll hold on to her stolen item until she is rewarded with a treat...albeit very small treat. When she's in the zone, she waits for every opportunity to practice her thievery. She'll race dad to his bedroom...not much of a race but nonetheless she trots off waiting for dad to remove his shirt or pants. We have to bribe her off his bed and out of his room to give him privacy to get ready for bed. She pines at his closed door until he's ready for sleep and all items are out of reach. Those two have become the best of buddies. Of course, Bailey is pals with anyone and loves most those that love her the most at that moment.
Tomorrow, San Diego is the travel plan.
