Saturday 5/13

Yes, I noticed I labeled Friday as Saturday on my previous post, but it really doesn't make a difference as one day was as good as the other with both days being fabulous. I met Gina, my dear friend from Pala Casino for coffee this morning at an adorable bakery in Old Town Temecula. We spent three hours chatting and laughing...and those three hours seemed like only 20 minutes. It was so great to see her and I'm so proud of her and her accomplishments, both personally and professionally!  We're going to try to have dinner this coming week with a group of friends including dad and Jeanne. I hope we can make it work.

Dad and Jeanne are really enjoying the golf tournament on TV...the one with the island 17th hole that at least 20 golfers have hit their ball into the surrounding waters.  I napped.  Dad and I then went to Mass, again at St. Martha's and there were more first communions, but at least we could understand this priest. The music has been different every week and some of it really is quite beautiful.

While I was gone this morning, dad had a couple hours of quality "patio" time in the sun. He's getting a nice tan on his arms and legs and is so enjoying the warmth of the California sunshine!  He is so happy to be here and I'm so very grateful to Jeanne for her continued warm and loving hospitality. She is constantly making dad laugh and that means so much as he's almost always in a state of true joy! No pictures again today, but we have a plan to get out for a bit tomorrow.

Happy Mother's Day tomorrow to all my family and friends who are mothers...and to my mom who is loved and missed every day.
